Hypertension (65.0%), diabetes (58.8%), and chronic respiratory disease (52.5%) were especially prevalent among our study population, emphasizing that these comorbidities might be significant risk factors for RSV pneumonia requiring hospitalization as observed in previous studies on patients with RSV pneumonia [ 13 , 14 ].
