In AD, the antioxidant effect can reveal a decreasing trend with the decrease of nuclear factor-related factor 2 (Nrf2) level [ 150 ], as confirmed that Dl-3-n-butylphthalide (NBP) inhibits NLRP3 inflammasomes and delays the pathological process of AD through the Nrf2-TXNIP-TRX signal pathway [ 151 , 152 ].
