A Danish study by Allgren et al., in which the annual height and weight of children was collected from school health records, reported that height growth from age 8 to 14 years was significantly associated with a high risk of developing breast cancer (RR: 1.17/5 cm increase), (CI 95%: 1.09–1.25), while growth during the peak year showed a marginally significant correlation (OR: 1.15/5 cm increase, CI: 0.97–1.36) [ 37 ].
