The lack of significant improvement in mortality rates due to falls in the Polish elderly population observed since 2009, despite a favorable trend in the first decade of the analysis, may be related to an increase in the dynamics of growth in the trend of the oldest people (i.e., those aged over 80), particularly noticeable in the last decade (from 6.4% to 8.5%).
