It is noteworthy that the PO activity of the mutant SER remained at a very low level throughout the period, maintaining around 10% of WT ( Figure 2 d); meanwhile, the activities of the other three enzymes in the mutant showed an increasing trend compared with those in the WT group, but were less than one times higher than those in the WT group ( Figure 2 a–c).
