When the analysis was restricted to six studies including haemodynamically stable patients only, a marginally significant association between TAPSE and short-term death was observed, with significant heterogeneity (3240 patients; risk ratio 2.29, 95% CI 0.97–5.44, I 2 =71%) ( table 3 , supplementary figure S7 B).
