Despite the general agreement found between oceanographic connectivity and population genetic differentiation, our models were not significant in 3 out of the 59 tests (yet P -values were marginally significant), and even in those that were significant, not all variability was explained (~43% variability explained, on average), most likely due to the effect of additional drivers not related to present-day oceanographic processes.
