25 There has been an increasing trend in the performance of rotator cuff repairs, 5 , 20 , 24 generating a high economic burden. 20 However, the functional results and the retear rate are still far from ideal. 26 Thus, it is important to determine prognostic factors for unsatisfactory results after rotator cuff repair, enabling the adoption of specific strategies for a subgroup of patients.
