More lightly pigmented flowers had higher relative fitness than darkly pigmented flowers in the open‐pollinated group, but there was little association between petal color and relative fitness in the pollen‐supplemented group (Figure 4A ) which resulted in a marginally significant interaction between pollination treatment and flower color (Table 1 ).
