18 In this study there was a decreasing trend of oral symptoms and functional limitations over time, being the greatest impact on the domains evaluated before lingual spurs bonding. 19 Oral symptoms reported were pain in teeth, bad breath, mouth sores and food caught between teeth, 19 palate irritation 16 and tongue pain. 17 , 18 However, this discomfort, when assessed through questionnaires and pain scales, seems tolerable and temporary, tending to decrease over time.
