When considering multi-locus genotypes jointly for all feral populations, they had higher levels of genetic diversity than commercial varieties ( Table 3 ) which were statistically highly significant ( p < 0.001) except for observed heterozygosity ( p = 0.108 and p = 0.124 for the complete and the reduced data set, respectively); this pattern stayed the same when only considering populations (varieties) with at least four individuals (data not shown).
