Re-emergence of susceptibility to chloramphenicol amongst Salmonellae is an encouraging trend and provides evidence of the potential renewed utility of this previously first-line antimicrobial as a reserve agent for culture confirmed sepsis at QECH where antimicrobial susceptibility is confirmed.
