Compared with Nip, endosperms of Olr are not only apparently smaller but also exhibit more grain chalkiness with opaque white-core in the inner endosperm, as indicated by an extremely significant and higher percentage of endosperms with chalkiness and degree of endosperm chalkiness ( Figure 1 A–C).
