Indeed, the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) has been identified as having a highly significant and independent predictive role in the achievement of the recommended LDL-C goals [ 33 , 34 ], which may suggest more stringent monitoring and management of LLT to achieve the recommended therapeutic goals in patients with an established CVD.
