pylori in China appears to be on a decreasing trend compared to the past (from 58.3% during 1983–1994 to 40.0% during 2015–2019), 14 it is inevitable that this pathogen will remain increasingly resistant to antibiotics and its infection burden will remain high. 15 , 16 This necessitates the development of antibiotic alternatives or antibiotic loading systems to mitigate the problem of antibiotic resistance.
