This advantage may not be significant for robots with limited working time in the laboratory, but it is crucial for extending the lifetime of robots that need to work for long periods in practical applications. 3 Conclusion This study enables the successful exploration and application of neural‐inspired control on earthworm‐like robotic locomotion by proposing a generic and biologically plausible control framework.
