However, due to the biological characteristic of invasive growth of glioma, glioma has a high recurrence rate; the patients’ prognosis is still unfavorable ( 4 , 5 ). With the application of the first-line chemotherapeutic drug temozolomide (TMZ), a growing number of glioma patients have become resistant to TMZ ( 6 ). In this context, an in-depth exploration into the drug resistance mechanism of TMZ is highly significant for improving the prognosis of glioma patients.
