Mapping publications using the Japan Trauma Data Bank: Scoping review of the international literature.

Although a scoping review published in 2012 identified only one publication from the trauma registry in Japan, we identified 166 articles using the JTDB as of November 2022, indicating an increasing trend over time. 3 The increasing participation of emergency medical institutions in the JTDB, with coverage of more than 80% of tertiary‐care hospitals across Japan, might have contributed to the increased utilization of the JTDB in research.
