A subgroup comparison consisting of all age- and sex-matched controls also demonstrated highly significant difference between HGPS (progerin, 34 512±14 432 pg/mL; n=25) and non-HGPS control levels (progerin, 377±226 pg/mL; n=13; P <0.0001).
At the 8-month trial visit, 4 months after transitioning from 115 to 150 mg/m 2 dosing, progerin was further decreased to levels close to significance (n=25, P =0.06), and at each of the 4 subsequent trial visits, progerin was significantly decreased while taking 150 mg/m 2 of lonafarnib over the 115 mg/m 2 dose (n=22–25 patients, all P <0.05).
