Intriguingly, comparing the expression profiles of SARS-CoV-2-positive swab samples of individuals who underwent hospitalization to samples from individuals who did not by means of machine learning analysis, we were able to identify highly significant components defining a complex expression profile predictive of the need for hospitalization at the early stage of the infection.
