Amongst these patients with type 1 diabetes, we observed an increasing trend in the prevalence of smoking (11.7%, 32.0%, 36.4%), general obesity (8.4%, 11.6%, 17.1%), hypertension (16.8%, 24.1%, 52.2%) and dyslipidaemia (27.3%, 29.9%, 48.4%) with increasing age at diabetes diagnosis ( p for trend <0.001).
