We observed that the number of population-common associated loci (i.e., f 11 ) was negatively correlated with NCV (Pearson’s correlation=-0.095, with a marginally significant P value of 0.057), indicating that smaller difference of sample sizes in a pair of traits (e.g., increasing the sample size of traits in the EAS population) might lead to more discoveries of shared SNPs.
