In some cases, we did not observe significant changes in expression of several indicated antioxidant genes such as TRR1 and GSH1 , even though we are aware of a highly significant increase in Hap43 binding to their promoters based on our ChIP assays, arguing the involvement of other regulators, such as Cap1 and Tsa1/Tsa1B ( Urban et al., 2005 ; Wang et al., 2006 ), in modulating the transcript levels of these genes, in addition to Hap43.
