RESULTS The first reported Indian study using TMS, for assessing corticospinal excitability in children with malnourishment, was from Banaras Hindu University in 1997.[ 4 ] Twenty-five years since then there has been a linear growth of publications, with 2951 citations so far, and a positive trend (linear forecast trend regression coefficient R 2 = 0.7869, P < .001) from India in the field of TMS and neuropsychiatry [ Figure 1 ].
