Mutant-Tau-expressed and Rlip-RNA-silenced cells showed highly significant toxicity to the hippocampal neurons in almost all parameters investigated in the current study—cell survival, mitochondrial respiration, synaptic and mitophagy defects, and mitochondrial damage and mitochondrial function.
