The peak frequencies selected close to the counting rate were not significantly different from the peaks selected close to the tapping rate , although the difference was marginally significant for the data recorded from the counting condition (rest: T(16) = − 0.04, p = 0.97; tap: T(16) = − 1.64, p = 0.12; count: T(16) = − 2.41, p = 0.03).
