Therefore, an SNP with a rare allele or genotype, but a large additive or dominance effect could be highly significant, and an SNP with a small additive or dominance effect, but a large minor allele or genotypic frequency could also be highly significant if the sample size is sufficiently large such as the million-cow samples in this study.
