In this study, the protein expression of the Mg 2+ influx flow gene TRMP7 (transient receptor potential melastatin-subfamily member 7) and the Mg 2+ efflux-related gene S41A3 (solute carrier family 41 member 3) and CNNM1 (ancient conserved domain-containing protein 1) were significantly reduced with increasing doses of MgO NPs, while the transcription levels of the mitochondrial Mg 2+ inward flow transporter mrs2 (mitochondrial RNA splicing 2) showed an increasing trend followed by a significant reduction.
