Temporal Trends and Level Changes in Infection Rates The investigation of longitudinal trends via interrupted time series (ITS) analysis revealed an increasing trend of the overall infection rate during the pre-COVID-19 period, which was abruptly interrupted immediately after the intervention by a level decrease of −45% (IRR 0.55, 95%CI 0.33–0.93, p = 0.027).
