For all the steel blades, a decreasing trend of the cutting depth with the increase of the blade angle was observed and is well described by Equation (1); on the other hand, the cutting depth does not follow a simple correlation with hardness, and a large discrepancy exists between the experimental data and the modeling with respect to the hardness of the steels.
