These results suggest the high representation of autistic and catatonic traits, whose correlation was already reported in a previous study [ 15 ], in the psychopathological picture of BPD patients, supporting the hypothesis of an illness trajectory between autism and catatonia, in which BPD would represent an extremely significant stage.
