We found significant up regulation of VEGF gene expression in psoriasis patients compared to controls, this is agreed with previous studies on psoriatic patients reported that serum levels of VEGF were significantly higher in psoriasis patients than control subjects and a highly significant correlation between VEGF and PASI score was found, suggesting that VEGF can be a good indicator for severity of the disease [ 23 ].
