As depicted in Figure 1d , the treatment of cells with increasing doses of NiCl 2 elicited an increasing trend in hemolysis as appreciably observed at 5 mM (2.7±0.17 folds, p = 0.9577) and 7.5 mM (3.32±0.22 folds, p = 0.7648), and only attaining statistical significance at 10 mM (9.05±0.60 folds, p < 0.0001).
