The Composite resin has an Elastic modulus lesser than the dentine, so with the distortion of the resin, the stress on the underlying dentine would have increased.[ 13 ] The stress on the peri-cervical dentin showed an increasing trend with the gradual enlargement of the access cavity size [ Figure 3 ].
