HFD Increased Tau Phosphorylation around Aβ Plaques in the Hippocampi and Cortices of 6-Month-Old APP/PS1 Mice Double staining of total Tau (antibody 9H12), which recognizes the central region of Tau protein (aa162-175), and NeuroTraceTM visualization of neurons revealed an increasing trend in the accumulation of Tau protein in the neurons of the cornu ammonis (CA1) part of the hippocampus in 10-month-old APP/PS1 mice on both diets compared to their age-matched WT controls ( Figure 12 ); HFD did not affect the accumulation of Tau.
