Regarding the validation of the reactions described for the degradation of CV, based on these experimental data, the following should be highlighted: (i) For blue inks, the correlation between Michler’s Ketone and NNAPH is highly significant, and in the case of Blue Sigma ® , these two compounds are also correlated with the PRS family from which they may come (Penta-PRS and Tetra-PRS); these data could represent that this rupture reaction is the main one for this type of inks.
