tion between unhealthy eating patterns and poor sleep hygiene has been suggested.[ 10 ] In a study conducted on over 3000 middle-aged female Japanese workers, a significant correlation was observed between their sleep hygiene practices and the amount of vegetable and confectionary consumed.[ 11 ] A highly significant difference between the intake of energy, carbohydrates, folic acid, and vitamin B12 has been reported in a study among Indians.[ 12 ] These results were confirmed in a large-scale study assessing the association between diet and various sleep hygiene.[ 13 ] We hypothesized that dietary habits in hemodialysis patients are correlated with sleep hygiene.
