The aging of population in Shanghai presents the following characteristics: high degree of aging, serious aging phenomenon, aging coefficient increasing year by year, aging rate of registered permanent population is significantly higher than that of the whole city, elderly migrant population shows an increasing trend, and there is a large gap between aging and social development level.
