37 , 38 Another small study found a borderline significant increase in septal T1 after 18 months of treatment with the chaperone migalastat. 39 In a study with migalastat patients with baseline hypertrophy reduced their left ventricular mass index by 10 g/m 2 over 30 months of treatment. 37 Both enzyme replacement therapy and chaperone therapy seem to lack efficacy in late stages with established myocardial fibrosis, emphasizing the role of imaging to select patients likely to benefit from treatment.
