highly significantP = 0.002
Excitingly, independent from the association with age, we found a highly significant association (Kruskal–Wallis test, H = 12.23, P = 0.002) and correlation ( r s = 0.408, P < 0.001) between TMEM106B CTFs and the disease-associated TMEM106B haplotypes, with higher amounts of insoluble TMEM106B CTFs in individuals carrying the risk haplotype.
