Implementation of rigorous trial protocols and infection prevention measures, including an expanded protocol of preoperative cefazolin and vancomycin, postoperative cephalexin, and an intraprocedural wound-pocket wash with bacitracin, may have influenced a decreasing trend of infection within our cohort following trial completion.
