Finerenone was also associated with a marginally significant lower risk for the key secondary renal outcome (kidney failure, sustained decrease in the eGFR ≥40% from baseline, or renal death; HR 0.87, 95% CI 0.76–1.01) and a significant reduction in incidence of end-stage kidney disease (HR 0.64, 95% CI 0.41–0.995).
