This was reflected statistically by significant four-way interactions involving anaesthesia duration, subsequent POD status, EEG suppression status and microstates in models with microstate duration as well as frequency of occurrence as dependent variables and by a highly significant three-way interaction involving anaesthesia duration, subsequent POD status and EEG suppression status in models with microstate GFP as dependent variable (see Supplementary Table 1 with selected results of the ANOVA table for details).
