Setting goals for the intervention, empowering participants to achieve those goals, and a positive trend in health outcomes might have helped participants feel more confident in their routine as suggested by Direito et al. 25 Third, daily reminders to perform measurements may have helped participants form a habit of recalling to perform behaviors related to hypertension self-management.
