Results of the study showed that before starting treatment at baseline the mean NO levels were 63.477 ± 24.48 μm while after treating carious lesions, the level was increased up to 88.084 ± 31.57 μm after 15, after 30 days it was further increased to 107.268 ± 33.28 μm from baseline, was statistically highly significant ( p < 0.001) ( Fig. 1 ).
