Hou et al 73 found by analyzing the data of 69,414 patients with non-small cell lung cancer that the proportion of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer receiving palliative care showed an increasing trend year by year, and receiving palliative care and hospice care at the end of their lives could reduce the pain of patients while reducing the medical costs of patients with end-stage lung cancer.
