This is a worrying trend, as despite increasing public and research interest, there are important gaps in literature including (a) how to most appropriately index individual differences in sensitivity, and its stability and change across life span, (b) the underlying mechanisms and (c) how sensitivity is related to mental well‐being, and the development, maintenance and treatment of mental health problems.
