Among candidates without HCC who underwent liver transplant, there was a decreasing trend in post-transplant mortality over time: 1-year mortality 9.6% in 2013-2014 versus 6.8% in 2019-2020 ( p <0.0001) (Table 4 ); the trend was also observed later in follow-up (trend p <0.01 until post-transplant year 6).
