The genera Streptococcus and Phyllobacterium were significantly more present in the nasopharyngeal microbiota of patients while the most abundant genera in the oropharyngeal microbiota including Streptococcus , Neisseria , and Haemophilus showed a decreasing trend in patients ( Wen et al., 2018 ).
