Importantly, both METS-IR and TyG-BMI were predictors of all-cause mortality in univariate analysis, but with borderline significance; however, only age, BMI and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) remained independent predictors in the multivariable model [OR = 1.08 (95% CI: 1.05–1.1, P < 0.01) for age; OR = 0.8 (95% CI: 0.73–0.95, P < 0.01) for BMI; OR = 0.98 (95% CI: 0.97–1, P < 0.01) for eGFR].
